In early 1996 Steve's Stereo & Music Exchange started as Steve's Stereo in a small 100 sq. foot rented space in a used furniture store in Concord, N.H. We only bought and sold used home stereo gear. Over the past 14 years the business has diversified and grown, adding car stereo sales & installs first in late 1996 and moving to its own bigger location by mid 1997. The name changed to Steve's Discount Stereos, Drums & More and drum and guitar sales began. By early 1998 another move to a larger store took place and the name changed to Steve's Merchandise Exchange. For a brief period we were a big buyer & seller of used video games and gear. By 2004 a second storefront in the same location was rented bringing the size up to about 1100 sq. feet, video games and home stereos were dropped and the name changed to Steve's Stereo & Music Exchange. Over the next few years we were busting out of the space and needed a change. In late 2008 a 6,350 sq. foot property was purchased in Boscawen and the music store occupies about 2,350 sq. feet with room for future expansion. P.A. & Lighting Gear now has a 200 sq. foot showroom of its own, concert ticket sales and wind instrument sales & service was added. We are now in our 15th year and are involved in almost all phases of music sales ,service, parts, instruction and car audio & video installation!
